User Profile Widget Settings

The Hybopress User Profile widget is used to display a user profile section. It can be used in any widget area, such as a sidebar or a footer.

To add the widget to an area, go to Appearance > Widgets, click on the Hybopress User Profile widget title bar, select the desired widget area, and click Add Widget.

To configure the widget, click the title bar to open it, and change the settings to the following:

By default Widget allows you to use Gravatar, so first we show you Gravatar related settings.

  1. Image Source: You want to show Gravatar or custom image, select your preference here.
  2. Select a user: If you selected Gravatar in step 1, then select the user account you wish to display the gravatar for.
  3. Gravatar Size: Select the desired image size for your Gravatar image.
  4. Gravatar Alignment: Select the image alignment (Center, Left, or Right).
  5. Gravatar Shape: Select the image shape you want applied. (None, Rounded, or Circle).
  6. Show Image border: If you enable this, then your image will have border applied to it, with small padding as well.
  7. Title: The title you wish to display, such as About Me or Profile.
  8. Alt Title: The title you wish to use as an alt attribute for your image.
  9. Author Description: You may use the author bio text from your user profile, or you may add custom text in the box if you wish.
  10. Choose page dropdown: You may add a link to the end of the text to another page with more information, such as your About page.
  11. Extended page link text: The text you wish to use for the link.
  12. Show Author Archive Link: Check the box if you also wish to add a link to the user’s archive page.

For custom Profile Image, these are the settings, you might notice some of the settings a common for both Gravatar or Custom Image.

Once you have completed the widget configuration, be sure to click Save at the bottom of the widget to preserve your settings.
